For more than 38 years, AIN has been a vital lifeline in healthcare—empowering people living with HIV and supporting other vulnerable populations.  Each day, we serve over 1,800 low-income Clients with Meals, Transportation, and Case Management to help them thrive.  At the heart of this work is the Daire Center, where Clients not only receive hot, nutritious breakfasts and lunches but also find dignity, compassion, and belonging. Many of our Clients face complex challenges—health issues, mobility limitations, homelessness, financial struggles, and discrimination.  The Daire Center provides a safe, welcoming, and stigma-free space where they can find stability, learn new skills, rest when needed, and connect with the community.  For those without family nearby, a holiday meal at the Daire Center is more than food—it’s a celebration of inclusion, a reminder that everyone deserves to be seen, valued, and part of a family.

ASD- A Home for Life, ASD provides permanent, service-enriched housing for individuals and families impacted by HIV and other chronic health conditions. Since 1987, ASD has operated as the largest provider of Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS (HOPWA) in Texas, with four licensed apartment residences and one independent living community. ASD currently serves over 300 low-income residents annually. Each property integrates wraparound services, including medical and social case management, complimentary transportation to medical appointments, nutritional support - up to 3 prepared meals/day including “ASD Supper Club”, provides mental health guidance/referrals, and life skills support - to promote housing stability, health equity, and long-term independence. Our model is nationally recognized as one of the most effective strategies for serving this highly vulnerable population. Transformation happens when individuals and families have a stable, safe place to live that is free of judgment or stigma around their diagnosis.

Providing numerous daily/weekly feeding programs, food pantry, hot meals, and personal hygiene assistance, LGBT youth services, emergency shelter, youth resources, AIDS crisis assistance, and more. We are a people of compassion on a mission of love to feed the hungry and heal the hurting. We challenge all oppression, especially the oppression of queer people, both young and old. By embodying grace, we live out our liberation until all are set free.

LGBTQ SAVES, founded in 2010 by Air Force veteran and educator Sharon Herrera, was created in response to the heartbreaking rise of LGBTQ youth suicides. What began as a small gathering in Sharon’s backyard has grown into a thriving nonprofit dedicated to empowering and uplifting LGBTQ youth across North Texas. The organization provides safe and brave spaces where young people can be themselves, offering resources such as youth-led events, scholarships, community dinners, and both in-person and virtual support groups. Their mission is to ensure every young person feels seen, supported, and safe, with a vision of building a community where all LGBTQ youth can thrive. Today, LGBTQ SAVES stands as a beacon of hope, resilience, and love for countless young people and their families.
